Appointments for lessons are made on a reserved basis. To reserve time, a minimum fifty dollars ($50.00) deposit is required in advance for individual lesson. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid a twenty-five dollar ($25) penalty

  1. Students are expected to meet the instructor in the office on time.
  2. If the student is running late, the instructor will wait up to 15 minutes before returning to the school. The student at that time will either take remaining time, lose the lesson or will have a twenty-five dollars ($25) penalty applied to take class another date. 

Students must come to the office for their lesson. We do not provide pick-up service.

  1. If the student fails to appear for the lesson, a twenty fifteen dollar ($15) penalty per lesson will be applied or he / she will lose the lesson.
  2. If student is running late and makes the request to wait for them to complete remaining time of class (after deducting late minutes) and fails to arrive, the full amount of the lesson will be charged and class cannot be rescheduled. 
  3. Students must ensure all lessons from their package are reserved before the road test. We cannot guarantee availability on specifics dates or times.

  5. F) If partial payments are selected Packages will need to be paid in FULL before 50% of package services has been rendered.



A twenty-five dollars ($25) deposit is required in advance to reserve a car. No car will be reserved if fee is not paid. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance to avoid forty dollar ($40) penalty.

  1. In order to use the school car for a road tests, a minimum of one (1) lesson is required before the test at an additional fee.
  2. We DO NOT provide pick-up service for road tests. Students must meet the instructor at the school.
  3. Customer has the option of meeting at the Road test site or leaving from the school. CARS ARE SHARED (4-5 PEOPLE) ON ROAD TEST DAYS.
  4. Failure to appear for a scheduled road test appointment will result in a forty dollar ($40) penalty.


  1. If appointment was made by the school or student and the DMV examiner refuses to five the student a test because the student’s 5 hour certificate or permit is not in order, meaning expired, missing or invalid, the student’s road test is forfeited and forty dollar ($40) rescheduling fee will be charged.
  2. All students must bring their learner’s permit with photo and glasses if needed.


Cancellations for the 5 hour class must be made 48 hours in advance. Failure to appear for the 5 hour class or late cancellations, will result in a thirty dollar ($30.00) penalty. 

Upon cancellation of incomplete package, student will incur charges for individual services completed, in addition to a 10% or $20 fee (whichever is greater). Any reimbursement will be issued in the form of original payment.

All cancellations of new appointments must be made during regular business hours, Mondays thru Fridays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm & Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. If an appointment is schedule for a Monday, it must be rescheduled the Saturday before. We don’t accept voice mail or emails to cancel. (NO VOICE MAIL OR EMAIL). CANCELLING THE SAME DAY IS CONSIDERED A NO SHOW AND PENALTY APPLIES.

Student must bring learners permit and glasses all the time, to avoid the NO SHOW on their DRIVING LESSON OR ROAD TEST IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE WITH SANDALS OR FLIP-FLOPS ON THE DAY YOUR DRIVING LESSON OR ROAD TEST

Credits, deposits, packages and gift certificates must be used and completed within one (1) year.

About our Classes, Packages and Road Test

Where can I receive the results of your Road Test?

To receive the results of your road test, please visit Road Test Results.

Your test results will be posted to the website after 6PM on the day of your test.

What do I need to be able to drive in the State of New York?

To drive a car or motorcycle in New York State, you must

  • be at least 16 years old and
  • have a valid New York State driver license or learner permit, or
  • a valid driver license or permit issued by another state or country

If you have a New York State learner permit or one issued in another state, you must follow New York State permit restrictions.

If you are under age 18, you must obey New York’s Graduated License Law.

What are some of the Teen Driving Rules?

Driving with other passengers in first six months
1st offense: 60-day license suspension
2nd offense: 180-day suspension
3rd offense: 1-year suspension

Junior Operator driving between midnight and 5 a.m.
1st offense: 60-day license suspension
2nd offense: 180-day suspension
3rd offense: 1-year suspension

Permit Holder is driving without an adult or between midnight and 5 a.m.
1st offense: 60-day license suspension
2nd offense: 180-day suspension
3rd offense: 1-year suspension

Junior Operator drag racing
1st offense: $250 plus 1-year license suspension plus $500 to reinstate license
2nd offense: $500 plus 3-years license suspension plus $1000 to reinstate

Junior Operator speeding (in addition to fines)
1st offense: 90-day license suspension plus $500 to reinstate license
2nd offense: 1-year suspension plus $500 to reinstate

When does the driving portion of the course start?

We recommend starting your driving lessons after you have completed the 5-hours class

Do I have to bring a car, or does the school provide one?


At the time of taking your road test, a car will be provided by Jessi Driving School.


You have the option of bringing a car when individual classes are purchased.

If you opt to bring a car for your road test, please make sure the car:

  • Is insured
  • Is registered
  • Does not have dark tinted windows

What will I learn in the road test?

You learn to drive with licensed instructors who will patiently teach you:

  • Basic maneuvers and scanning
  • Safety devices and procedures
  • Entering traffic safely
  • Lane position tracking
  • Turning, including U-turns and three-point turns
  • Adjusting to traffic flow and space cushion driving
  • Handling intersections
  • Parking, including hill and parallel parking
  • Driving on freeways (entering and exiting)
  • Great focus on all technical skills and maneuvers
  • Road test preparation and much more!

What attire should I wear for Driving Exam day?

On the day of your driving test, it is important that you make a good first impression on your driving examiner. What you wear likely won’t cause you to fail or pass your driving test, but dressing appropriately won’t hurt your chances of passing the test.

Flexible Clothing: During your driving test, you will be doing plenty of moving around in your seat. You will be looking over your shoulder and twisting the upper half of your body.

Appropriate Shoes: The footwear you choose for your driving test is the most important clothing decision you’ll make. The team at Jessi Driving School highly recommends wearing flat shoes without a heel. However, the shoes should feel secure around your feet and should not slip or slide off while driving. Avoid wearing high-heeled shoes, flip-flops or sandals.
